MUST HAVE DVD's...

While perusing the Costco website (and listening to conference at the same time) I found the holy grail of all gifts for any true child of the 80's. The entire Fraggle Rock series collection on DVD.

I think I might be in love with it. For any of you needing a Fraggle Rock fix, here you go.

And if you weren't a Fraggle Rock fan, I KNOW you watched these a time or two on PBS.

Admit it, you totally crushed on Gilbert Blythe. (Well, actually, I didn't, but I did crush on that incredibly handsome rich older guy who wanted to marry Anne the schoolmarm. Hmmm...)

I had no idea how many Anne/Gilbert montages even existed out there! This one is most definitely my fav. I mean, you get Anne, Gil, AND awesome Brian Adams music. Seriously, it doesn't get any better. This one is made by YouTube member AmyofGreenGables.

So, if any of you out there are lookin' to cross of people on your Christmas list, look no further.

  1. I loved Fraggle Rock! That's awesome that they are bringing back all the good cartoons from the 80's -now that's great marketing, bring them back now as they know we want our kids to see them.
I loved Anne of Green Gables, but thought Gilbert was a dork and didn't deserve Anne. I just wanted to be Anne.

  4. Sara has some kind of inborn hatred of really nice guys...Jacob, Gilbert...what is wrong with her? Next she's gonna tell us she hates Colonel Brandon and Mr. Knightley. I think an intervention might be in order.

  5. Anne, Gilbert, and the best Brian Adams' song of all-time?!? Incredible. Seriously. That made my day.

Remember how we used to watch all the Anne videos at your house in Littleton in the summers? I think that's when I fell in love with Gilbert. I liked him even more than Anne (even when he did call her "Carrots" -- is that wrong?).

Did you ever see the ones they made in 2000? They seemed so "wrong" to me. I couldn't even finish watching them.

  8. that montage made me laugh hard. i rented the anne series last spring and the kids loved it. i am sure they didn't appreciate it as they will when they are older, but they needed the initial introduction early.
anne is totally rediculous about gil. over and over and over, but in the end he is the hero. i was wondering why there were no pictures of him when he was dying and her hair was as big as i don't know what. i feel cheated.

  9. Fraggle Rock = Classic.

I always loved when they had episodes with the dozers in them.

After watching that clip, I am going to have the theme song in my head for about a week. Sweet.

    . . . Down in Fraggle Rock, clap-clap. . . Down in Fraggle Rock, clap-clap
